John Woodard #20

John WoodardJohn Woodard is the first inductee to the LASC Hall of Fame, and will forever be remembered and honored by the Little Apple Soccer Club. The number 20 will never be worn by another LASC player in honor of John. However, every LASC Player bears the #20 on the logo of their uniform to remind all of us of his legacy.
John Woodard died in a car accident following a tournament in Emporia in the spring of 1998. John played for the LASC U13 Wizards, and attended Amanda Arnold Elementary School in Manhattan, Kansas. He was a kind soul, with a smile as wide as the Kansas plains. Everyone that knew John and his family, is a better person for it.
All LASC Players, coaches and volunteers will remember John and his family's courage, and in doing so, pledge to work hard, compete, and to be fair and kind to one another. John reminds us all that, "Life is short, play hard."
John Woodard #20, will forever be in the hearts and minds of all who wear an LASC Jersey.
